3D Printing for Everyone

No Mystery. Just Making.

You don't need to be an engineer or tech-savvy to run a 3D printer. In fact, once you get started, you will wonder why you waited so long! I have instructed a number of folks on how to get started with 3D printing. The feedback I hear most often is how easy 3D printing actually is, and how amazed people are by the huge variety of free models they can find and 3D print.

Here's a simple test.

Go to MakerWorld.com, at the top of the page in the search bar, type in your favorite hobby and hit search.

If you spend more than 5 minutes exploring, it’s time to take the plunge find out first hand how easy it is to 3D print. As a first printer, I highly recommend the A1 Mini from Bambu Lab for $199 (Black Friday Sale going on now), add a roll of white PLA filament for $18.99. You won't be disappointed.

Check out this start guide to find out what you need to get ready so you can be printing the same day your printer arrives.

“… Printing has been almost too easy…” Chuck, 3D printing since 2024

“…From setup to slicing files, I find this little guy breezes through the slicing process and prints quality models both faster and easier than the big guys I was learning on.…” Victor, 3D printing since 2025
