An A1 Mini is on the way, now what.

The A1 mini will come fully assembled and you should be up and running in about 60minutes from the time you cut open the box.

Items to complete while you wait for your 3D printer to arrive

  1. Make sure you have filament on order. I recommend the Bambu PLA White 1kg with spool.

  2. Prepare a space to hold your 3D printer. You will need a flat area of approximately 16” H x 16” W x 16” D. It is recommended to put the printer in a well ventilated area like a garage or next to a window that can be opened. Printers are not recommended to be used in livable area without proper ventilation.

  3. Printer will require the use of a 120V wall outlet.

  4. Purchase a pair of diagonal side cutters (Here).

  5. Download Bambu Studio to your computer.

  6. Install Bambu Studio.

  7. Open program and create a login.

  8. Download Bambu Handy to your phone.

  9. Browse one of the 3D print sites, like MakerWorld to see all the available models to print.

Once your printer arrives

Follow the step by step instructions on how to set it up, provided in the box. The instructions are extremely easy to understand with helpful images of steps, there is also helpful videos to reference as well. Print your first file by selecting one of the preloaded files on the printer. Next print a “poop” bucket, such as this 3D model.

Congratulations, you are now officially in the 3D printing club.

Easy as 1-2-3D Print

Once your printer is set up, the print process is really simple:

  1. Discover an object, tool, or part on a 3D model sharing site (See 4 sites below) and download the 3D file instantly.

  2. Open the file in your slicer software and hit the "Slice" button.

  3. Click "Print" over Wi-Fi and watch your print come to life.

Yes, 3D printing can really be that simple! Once you feel comfortable with the basics, there is an unlimited number of settings and materials to explore but none of that tweaking is required just to get started.
